Laptops are an important part of life to many people including business people and students. Laptops make work portable for people and allow mobility to get things done on the go. Many people use laptops to take notes in classes or meetings. They are also utilized so that people can get work done wherever they may be such as in an airport, a restaurant or at home.

Important things to take into account when evaluating laptops include the following:

·         Processing speed

·         Amount of RAM and Hard Disk space

·         Wireless LAN connection types (802.11 a/b/g/n)

·         Ethernet capabilities for connecting to a hard-line at work or home

·         Weight and size

·         Power consumption
