The hp Pavilion is an special edition laptop from the dv60fff00 series. What makes this laptop a special edition is basically the features. The outside of the laptop has a metallic copper with faint etching. The second feature is the 12 cell battery that provides long battery life.

Priced at $999 the pavilion features a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 4GB of ram at 667MHz, a hard drive of 250GB 5,400rpm and also an Intel 965 Graphics Intel GMA X3100 (integrated) Chip set.  Its Operating System is Windows Vista (64-bit). The dimensions (WDH) are 14.1 x 10.1 x 1.1 inches.  Screen size is (diagonal) 15.4 inches  and the System weight  with AC adapter 7.4 pounds

One of the side effects of the pavilion is its weight as well as its durability. Having this laptop for two semesters it has proven to be very fragile. The keyboard is also very on conventional. Living in a college dorm you find yourself often typing in the dark and with no illumination on the keyboard, working in dim areas is difficult. Also the speakers are very small and you would need to purchase a speaker set to enjoy your music.

Yet this entertainment style pc does have several benefits. It features an high definition screen that plays back movies and YouTube videos in crisp form.

Other features include Stereo speakers, two headphone jacks, microphone jack ,3 USB 2.0, mini-Fire Wire, mulitformat memory card reader ,Express Card ,modem, Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi ,DVD burner with Light Scribe .

Overall if given a second chance I would not pick this pc, it still has a lot of bugs and is not a rugged enough for college life.
