I will be reviewing my laptop, the 15.4
inch 15.4-inch, 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo Macbook Pro. Recommended mostly for multimedia
and graphics tasks, this laptop is best used as a personal computer. The target
market being mostly students, the entertainment industry, and perhaps the fashion industry because of its graphic capabilities. As for as specs go, the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 dual core processor that is teamed
up with faster DDR3 memory, which is boost from older Macbooks. Plus the DDR3
memory technology makes this computer faster than other Core 2 Duo processors that still use DDR2. To ensure a whole lot of space for your data and more, the Macbook Pro boasts a 250GB 5400rpm SATA Hard
Drive. A very exciting new feature is the hybrid graphics solution that features
an integrated GeForce 9400M processor in the chipset and a dedicated GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB. A choice of processor allows the user to either conserve battery or juice up the graphics for increased
capabilities. The screen is crystal clear with a 15.4-inch display that supports
a native resolution of 1,440x920; the bezel free glossy display is similar to what was used in the iMacs. Another noteworthy addition is the switch of all the ports and connectors to the left, as well as the DVD
burner to the right, a move that only increased the weight by .1 lbs.

As far as web-browsing, this computer is
a networking dream. The Macbook Pro has a built-in AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless
networking (based on IEEE 802.11n draft specification), but it’s also IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible. The Airport Extreme is incredibly efficient at recognizing any wireless hotspots within range. The 802.11n specification allows broad spectrum operation in the 5 GHz frequency range to achieve more
throughput. In addition, when running in 802.11n mode, all three are used to
transmit and receive data on different frequencies at the same time. These separate transmissions are aggregated into a higher
data rate and range than the older 802.11g can offer. If you want to plug your
laptop in the wall for faster browsing, it has an RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port that uses fast Ethernet. Finally, Bluetooth is also available through Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate). You can use the built-in Bluetooth wireless technology to connect to your PDA or cell phone, synchronize
addresses, or download pictures from your cell phone.
CONCLUSION:
Pros: Strong Performance, Excellent Graphics
With Hybrid Integrated and Dedicated Processors
Cons: Expensive, Limited Number of USB
Ports
